1. Our Philosophy

We operate under a simple mandate: Servers are Evil. Privacy Bar is designed to ensure that your sensitive information remains your own. We do not want your data, we do not see your data, and we possess no infrastructure capable of storing your data.

2. Data Collection & Local Sovereignty

Zero Data Exfiltration: The Privacy Bar extension does not collect, monitor, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, or cryptographic secrets.
Local-Only Execution: All encryption, decryption, and password synthesis operations occur entirely within your browser's volatile memory. Your Master Key is never transmitted to any network.
No Analytics: We employ no tracking pixels, telemetry, or cookies to observe user behavior.

3. Third-Party Transactions

We utilize Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record for secure payment processing and global tax compliance.

During a transaction, Lemon Squeezy collects necessary payment details and an email address to facilitate license delivery.
Lemon Squeezy shares the recipient's name and email with our signature script for the sole purpose of generating a Social DRM license string.
Recipients only need their own Master Key to unlock features; we do not use transaction data for marketing or profiling.

4. Technical Permissions

Privacy Bar utilizes minimal browser permissions to provide its utility:

contextMenus: Enables the ability to right-click text for immediate on-page encryption or decryption.
storage: Used exclusively to persist your local Page Notes. This data resides on your physical machine and is never uploaded.
