Terms and Conditions

1. License Grant

By purchasing a Pro License, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the advanced features of the Privacy Bar extension. These features include, among others:

• User-Provided Passwords: Passwords that are saved securely rather than synthesized on the fly.
• Pro Encryption Modes:Self-destruct Read-Once encryption, Post-Quantum modes, message Certificates.
• Safe View: Isolated page viewing for protection against intrusive extensions.
• Page Sanitization: Remote script and tracker stripping for suspicious links.
• Extended Notes: Site-specific encrypted notes persisted locally.

2. Cryptographic Delivery

We utilize a Social DRM model for feature activation.

• License keys are generated based on the name and email provided during checkout via Lemon Squeezy.
• Activation occurs locally within your browser via cryptographic signature verification.
• The extension does not require persistent network access to verify your license state after initial activation.

3. Limitation of Liability

Privacy Bar is a security utility, not a total defense.

• No Guarantee: We cannot guarantee 100% protection against all evolving web-based threats or data exfiltration techniques.
• As-Is Basis: All features are provided "as-is." You assume all risk regarding potential data loss or security breaches that may occur during their use.
• Infrastructure: We are not responsible for failures in third-party environments or browser-level security vulnerabilities.

4. Legacy Support & Updates

We are committed to maintaining the core cryptographic integrity of the project:

• Feature Preservation: We will not remove "Legacy" features such as Pad Mode, Folder Keys, or Invitation logic during updates. We will strive to preserve compatibility with PassLok, our previous flagship product.
• Naming Conventions: We respect established project structures, including lowercase pqlock and base36Lock naming.
• Future-Proofing: New features will be implemented with explicit failure guards to prevent UI reference errors.

5. Merchant of Record & Refunds

Transactions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record.

• Refund requests are handled in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's global policies.
• If technical issues prevent the cryptographic activation of your Pro features, please contact support within 14 days for assistance or refund evaluation.

6. Acceptance of Terms

Continued use of the Privacy Bar Pro features constitutes your acceptance of these terms. We reserve the right to update these conditions to reflect changes in browser security standards or extension capabilities.
